The Lord Mayor is to walk around the city walls from Bootham Bar to Monk Bar and finally along Lord Mayors Walk to inspect the walls.
The walk will take place at 2pm on Thursday 17th March. We are looking for volunteers to help steward the event on the day. If you are interested, please contact us.
The launch meeting of the Friends group at The Mansion House tonight (Monday February 28) is fully booked. But fear not, further meetings are planned and you can now register your interest in attending our next meeting.
The next meeting is to be held on Monday March 21st at The Bar Convent at 7pm. Speakers are to be confirmed.

Friends of York Walls is a voluntary (not for profit) group set up to best represent the interests of York’s historical centrepiece. It includes all the defences of York, including St Marys Abbey, Cliffords Tower and The Castle as well as the Bar Walls.
We are now ready to accept memberships of Friends of York Walls. Membership is free however we encourage donations, however small. You can register as an Adult or Junior (under 18s) member, but only Adult members will have voting rights.
