Danny Aitken, 12, of Acomb, successfully walked the length of the city walls five times on Saturday 9th July to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Charity after learning his grandfather was battling the condition.

Danny Aitken, a schoolboy from York, is preparing to walk around York city walls five times for charity after learning that his grandfather is suffering from cancer. Danny, aged 12, hopes to raise £2000 for The Prostate Cancer Charity in honour of his grandfather John Houston. Despite suffering from severe asthma, the Manor School pupil is determined to finish the ten-mile walk.

Join us on Thursday 23rd June at 10am when we are calling on the Lord Mayor at The Mansion House to escort him to inspect Cliffords Tower. Over 200 School children will be waiting for him and will greet him dressed as Knights Templars.
