Come and see the interior of this 500 year old tower. Climb the narrow spiral stairs, see the garderobe, look for mason’s marks, study the roof structure. New displays for 2016. Sponsor A Stone. Bitchdaughter Tower – The 1^st ever public opening ?   10am to 4pm Saturday 30^th 2016 ONLY

Discover more and see the inside of this strangely named tower on the city walls near Skeldergate – between Baile Hill and Victoria Bar. OPEN FOR JUST THE ONE DAY ONLY! Saturday 30th January 10am – 4pm.   Organised by Chris Rainger.   No booking necessary.

NOTE = *Access is up the grass slope of the embankment from Baile Hill Terrace. NO direct access from the Walls Walk.

Guided Walk – There will be a guided “Walk and Talk” –

from Fishergate Postern Tower to Bitchdaugher Tower on Saturday 30^th   ONLY – meet at FPT,   depart at 1:30pm.   Organsised by Simon Mattam & FoYW.   No booking necessary.

Red Tower, Foss Islands Road – OPEN Saturday 30^th and Sunday 31^st from 10-3pm.

In 2014   a group of volunteers from TIM in York approached the Council about opening up the building and making it a resource for local residents and visitors alike. The building was recently flooded and is now being used to store cleaning products as people get their homes back to normal. Following a highly successful Residents Weekend in 2015, the team are going to open the building on both days and welcome all-comers to visit.  Organised by TIM and The Red Tower Project.   No booking necessary.  There is also a photo competition.   See –   https://www.facebook.com/redtowerproject/

Sat 19th March – Our Annual Friends Meeting will take place at

St Clements Hall from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.   Car parking available.

Fishergate Postern Tower will be open on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November from 10:00am to 4:00pm each day. This is the last scheduled opening for 2015 so come along and visit the tower, sponsor a stone, buy a book or map and help to support the Friends of York Walls.
