Fishergate Postern Tower will be open on Saturday 8th October from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  (NOTE – 1 day = Saturday ONLY)

If you are visiting York, or a York resident, do come along and visit the 500 year old tower,  climb the spiral staircase, sponsor a stone,  buy a book or a map and help to support the Friends of York Walls.  Its something unusual to do with the family and kids!   If you are interested in volunteering come along and talk to us, or drop an email to  friendsofyorkwalls@gmail.com

The Tower will also be open on Saturday 29th October which will be the last opening date in 2016.

For “Illuminating York 2016”  FOYW will be organising evening walls walks, entering at Bootham Bar and exit at Monk Bar, on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th October ONLY.    Adults £2, children free. Watch this space for more details.

Bitchdaughter Tower – The 1^st ever public opening ?   10am to 4pm Saturday 30^th 2016 ONLY

Discover more and see the inside of this strangely named tower on the city walls near Skeldergate – between Baile Hill and Victoria Bar. OPEN FOR JUST THE ONE DAY ONLY! Saturday 30th January 10am – 4pm.   Organised by Chris Rainger.   No booking necessary.

Red Tower, Foss Islands Road – OPEN Saturday 30^th and Sunday 31^st from 10-3pm.

In 2014   a group of volunteers from TIM in York approached the Council about opening up the building and making it a resource for local residents and visitors alike. The building was recently flooded and is now being used to store cleaning products as people get their homes back to normal. Following a highly successful Residents Weekend in 2015, the team are going to open the building on both days and welcome all-comers to visit.  Organised by TIM and The Red Tower Project.   No booking necessary.  There is also a photo competition.   See –   https://www.facebook.com/redtowerproject/
